Expecting: Peter & Kanika

Category: Photography | Portrait

It was just to cold to go outside eventhought the sun was shining. It is nice to shoot outside but when the temperatures drop it is time to look for alternatives. So we stayed inside and had a great time moving around the living room to capture some beautiful images of Peter and Kanika.

As always there were just to many shot to choose from to show on the blog but here a small selection of their portraits. Enjoy.

Expecting preview: Peter & Kanika

Category: Photography | Portrait

This year will be a great year to welcome new life into this world. A baby is always special but it is even more special when past brides are expecting. This year four of my past brides are expecting a baby and so are Peter and Kanika. Their destination wedding in Sorrento Italy happened almost three years ago. What a special day it turned out to be and I am still so proud to have been their wedding photographer.

You can image how happy I was for them to receive the news that they are expecting their first child this Spring. But also honored when they asked me if I wanted to be the one to capture their happiness. So this past weekend we had their session. With the sun shining through the window we has some beautiful light to capture their portrets.

Here a preview of their sweet session.

You just got to check this out!

There are so many great magazine that you can read online. Magazine that are just as amazing as their paper sisters out on the rack. Best thing of electronic versions is, that you house will not get cluttered with all of the paper versions and you can read them just as easily when you fancy.

If you are looking for a great mix of styling inspiration, decorations, table setup and idea's and for cooking then you just got to check out RUE magazine. Filled to the max with beautiful images making it a joy for eye.

New PASS is coming

Category: Photography | Wedding

As of last year all of the wedding images our couples are receiving are no longer delivered on a DVD but via the online gallery of PASS. With less and less laptops being outfitted with a DVD and knowing that a DVD doesn't have eternal life it was time for something new. PASS is a great tool to not only watch and download your images but also to share via Social Media. In the age of Facebook and Twitter a lot of couples are sharing their images online. With PASS that is literally just one click away.

But PASS had some flaws as well like having to download software if you want to download all of your images in one go e.g or the thumbnails of the images in the gallery are really small. So they are now working on improving PASS and I am already liking what I see. An all new gallery view that has far better thumbnails, the option to create an custom app to use PASS on your phone or tablet and take your images anywhere. It is like having an online album with all of your favorites with you all the time. One click share on Facebook. Even to get your images printed can be arranged via the new PASS.

The image below that is shared by PASS you can see the new look and feel.

So I am hoping to receive the new PASS soon but in the meanwhile I can already show you some of the new features in this video.

It is Monday a full load of fresh snow has fallen yesterday and the sun is trying to get through the clouds. Last weekend was full with shoots and post processing. As soon as I can show you some results I will. With six shoots in one weekend on five locations and with all of the post processing work I feel kind of scrambled.

So starting of the week right this image of some yummy scrambled eggs.

The rings are an important part of the wedding day. Besides exchanging the vows the bond is sealed with the exchange of the rings. The rings are beautiful elements to photograph on a wedding day. On it's one or with a little imagination and some props. The rings are often captured using a macro lens but can easily be captured with a prime lens like the 50mm.

These images are shot with the 50mm 1.2 at F2.0. Giving it a niche bokeh or shallow depth of field.
